Involvement in heritage and telling the stories of history
Joseph Graham has followed his passion for history down the less-travelled roads of the Laurentians, its Anglophone community, and the broader world's influences and effects on the place he has called home for most of his life, the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal.
Activities1995 to present: Frequent speaker on history and heritage issues across the Laurentians and in Montreal, including in local English elementary and high schools
2005-2011 Brought a heritage perspective to the Board of Directors of the CSSS des Sommets. This included attempts to save and preserve original Mount Sinai Hospital buildings and success in preventing demolition of original Laurentian San building that is part of the current Laurentian Hospital Participation in a number of documentary films about local Laurentian heritage, including:
